There’s been a lot of talk, or more fittingly in this case – silence, around what celebrity names will make up the musical roster for President-Elect Donald Trump’s Jan. 20 Inauguration Day ceremony.
And let’s just say so far, no one’s been hired.
With just weeks leading up to the event, and zero star studded performers confirmed to take the stage, the upcoming Presidential celebration is trekking to be the most middling of its kind.
But don’t think that’s killing the vibe of our future President.
After several celebrities, including Elton John and Celine Dion, “politely declined” to perform at the inauguration, for unknown and various reasons, the billionaire businessman took to his favorite platform Twitter to rant about why “so called A-List celebrities” will be missing in action at the 2017 event.
The so-called "A" list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING. I want the PEOPLE!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 23, 2016
But not so fast, says one celeb that jumped in to call Trump’s bluff after reading his tweet. Lip Sync Battle co-host and wife to singer/pianist John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, is willing to bet this latest twitter tantrum is all due to the President-Elect’s hurt feelings from all the no-shows.
The sports illustrated model tweeted,
Despite the absence of A-List musical attendees, guests that are slated to perform are The Radio City Rockettes, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and America’s Got Talent star Jackie Evancho.
All of whom should most definitely bring a more than ordinary peoples feel to Donald’s big day.
