South Jersey Realtor Shot Dead By Ex-Girlfriend

Another day another life lost by a senseless act of gun violence and insecurity…

A South Jersey realtor, was shot in the head and killed by his ex-girlfriend, as he drove through a Philadelphia neighborhood on Tuesday.

The victim, 33-year-old Terrell L. Bruce, was driving along Park Line drive in the northwest area of the city's West Mt. Airy, when his former girlfriend, Martina Westcott, pulled the trigger while riding in the passenger seat.

According to NBC 10, after the shot was fired Bruce immediately lost control of the Ford Expedition he was driving and crashed into another car before the SUV flipped onto its side.

Witnesses told police they saw a woman flee from the scene after the crash but when investigators searched the woods nearby they were not able to locate a suspect – only a white jacket, stained with blood.

Police sources say Westcott, 27, reportedly ran from the scene to a nearby neighborhood where her mother resides and confessed to shooting Bruce once she arrived.

Afterwards, her mother called Philadelphia Police's 14th District and helped her daughter turn herself in.

Since Bruce’s shooting death, a GoFundMe page has been created to raise money for his funeral arrangements. As of Tuesday morning, $12,800 was raised towards the family’s $30,000 goal.

Now let’s take some time out to do a quick population check and put things into perspective here:

As of today, www.worldometers.info/world-population/ reports there are currently 7.5 billion people in the world. When we narrow in on the United States alone, the same website states there are 319 million of us right here in the U.S.

If you subtract yourself from that pool (as well as ex out the kind of person you’d never date – male, female, etc.) you’d STILL end up with about 123,324,233 (random number alert) potential mates to choose from!

The point of this random analysis? THERE’S MORE FISH IN THE SEA!

R.I.P. to this man and condolences to his family.
