The divorce and custody battle between Robin Thicke and Paula Patton has taken a horrific turn.
As you may recall, Thicke and Patton seperated back in 2013, after the boom of his career with the number one single "Blurred Lines". One of the many alleged catalyst of their divorce being the infamous Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus joint performance of the song at the MTV VMA's.
Well, now more information is coming out due to the release of Paula's restraining order documents against her former husband.
The documents state that she and Robin got into an argument and Robin hit her with a closed fist to her upper body and then pushed her onto the ground at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2013.
Paula additionally claims that Robin was verbally abusive as he screamed at her because she interrupted his sleep while he stayed with her during her filming of Warcraft.
She also claims Robin had a serious cocaine problem.
Paula makes cheating allegations in her docs, saying Robin called her while he was on tour in 2013 and she heard him having sex with another woman.
TMZ says that a source close to Thicke stated "If these multi-year-old allegations were true, why is she only raising them now in the midst of a custody dispute where she's the only one violating the judge by denying Robin access to the boy?"
A judge issued the restraining order, prohibiting Robin from coming near Paula, their son or her mom indefinitely.
Robin asked for an order giving him sole physical and legal custody but the judge shut him down.
Robin's lawyer claims the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services is about to close its child abuse investigation against Robin, concluding the charges are "unfounded" ... this according to Robin's lawyer. The lawyer also says DCFS is investigating Paula for emotional abuse.
