Woman Gets Caught On Camera Stealing Money from a Church

For the love of God! Or money…

A Bronx woman was caught on tape stealing holy offerings from a donation box at a Roman Catholic Church located in Brooklyn police said on Friday.

The blasphemous act took place on January 12th at Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church in Throggs Neck at about 4:30 p.m. but police just released the footage in hopes of catching the unholy bandit sooner rather than later.

In the video, you can see a woman entering the church wearing a black floor length hooded coat with her hair in a ponytail pretending to light a candle. Immediately afterwards she looks around for any witnesses before kneeling down and wiggling her way into the money box.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect can call CrimeStoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.

I'm guessing she took the phrase "rob Peter to pay Paul" literally.
