Is it ridiculous to be offended by a comedy routine at a comedy show?
A lot of people are now discussing the question due to a viral video of comedian George Lopez that hit the internet today.
In the video, Lopez, 55, is in the midst of a routine when he begins to speak about things that are "rules" in Latino families.
Lopez proceeds, "Don't marry somebody black . . . and don't park in front of our house".
Suddenly, a woman, who appears to be black, can be seen sticking two middle fingers towards Lopez while sitting in one of the first rows in the audience.
That is when things turned left.
Immediately after spotting the woman's unkind gesture, Lopez begins a verbal assault against her and then other patrons.
George shouts, "Sit your fucking ass down! I'm talking bitch, sit your fucking ass down".
For minutes, Lopez invites other patrons to leave if they have an issue with his routine and continues to berate the woman. As four people leave, Lopez does not seem to be fazed as he then tells the audience that four seats just opened up front.
