Both Nicki Minaj and Rihanna moved up on Billboard’s Hot 100 List Among Women.
Nicki Minaj tied Aretha Franklin with 73 career Hot 100 entries. The song that moved her up is “Make Love” with Gucci Mane. She passed Taylor Swift, and now she is tied with the Queen of Soul. According to Billboard, this major accomplishment can be seen on the chart dated March 18.
In “Make Love,” Nicki raps: “I’m the greatest, no Kendrick and no Sia. I’m the iPhone, you the Nokia.”
In addition, Rihanna passed Madonna’s spot on this chart. She has 58 entries, while Madonna still has 57. Rihanna’s feature in Future’s “Selfish” moved her up to the fourth spot.
New Music on the Way
Nicki is expected to release an album this year. Does this mean she could pass Aretha’s spot and earn the #1 spot on the chart? We will have to wait and see.
