Leave it Tyga to give sound parenting advice about raising his 4-year-old son King Cairo.
“I’m trying to cut back with him on the gifts because he get very, very spoiled,” the rapper, who is plagued by money problems, told E! News. “He’s very spoiled. He thinks he is supposed to have all of that, so I have to kind of teach him that I work hard to get everything.”
When asked what his son is “obsessed” with these days, Tyga, who’s dating Kylie Jenner, quipped, “He likes everything that I like: cars, women, jewelry.”
Tyga shares custody of King Cario with ex-fiancé Blac Chyna, who has a child with girlfriend’s brother, Rob Kardashian.
Tyga — whose real name is Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson — knows that raising a child takes serious work.
“You’ve got to be an active parents,” he said. “Just teach them lessons to make them feel what you felt, and they’ve got to understand that, you know? It can be taken at any moment, so you’ve got to work hard for it.”
Despite liking the same things as his rapper dad, it sounds like King’s got different plans for his future.
“Right now he wants to build Ferraris. Right now he wants to be an architect; next year he might want to do something else. He’s not trying to build or be a rapper right now,” Tyga added. “He just wants to build Ferraris. I know when I was younger I didn’t want to be an architect.”
