"If opportunity doesn't knock. Build a door." – Milton Berle
Queen Latifah seems to be all about creating opportunity for herself and others these days.
Most recently the multitalented artist landed a gig as one of the executive producers for Lifetime's unscripted musical television series 'Pop Star' - centering around 5 young aspiring artists trying to be the next big thing.
And now she may have the chance to do the same for a small group of up and coming comedians with a project called 'Knock Knock.'
According to TMZ, the show will follow 4 aspiring comedians in their daily lives, as they hustle for their big break in Hollywood.
Latifah will do most of her duties behind the camera, alongside longtime producing partner Otis Best, while comedian Donnell Rawlings, most recognized from the 'Chappelle Show,' will take on the role as the show's host.
If the pilot gets picked up, the winner will get a chance to open for Rawlings, as well as host their own stand-up special.
Upcoming projects for Queen also include a guest appearance on a new travel channel mini-series, executive produced by Shakim Compere, titled 'The Best Place To Be.' The show is slated to air next month on April 2nd.
Fingers crossed on sealing the deal for this gig. Keep putting in that work Queen!
