I guess it’s real out here in these grocery food streets…
Two customers at a deli near Yankee Stadium went “holy guacamole” over a botched food order, and started chucking avocados so hard they broke one worker's jaw.
The entire assault is caught on video, which police released Tuesday.
The men were shopping at the Stadium Gourmet Deli on E. 161st St. and Walton Ave. in the Bronx at about 4:45 a.m. on May 29th when they flipped out, pitching the fruits once the cook got their orders wrong, possibly because of a language barrier police sources said.
When another worker tried to intervene he was also walloped with fruits and veggies.
In the video you can see one man, dressed in a black Tee grabbing an armful of avocados and throwing them one at a time at the employee who clutches his face and collapses.
His partner, in produce crime, dressed in jeans a white t-shirt and a blue vest, joined in moments later.
The first man can be seen jumping over the counter before he snatched a bunch of bananas and chucked them at the workers.
The 21-year-old clerk who bore the brunt of the attack suffered fractures to his face and a broken jaw. Medics took him to Lincoln Hospital where he’s now in stable condition.
Cops are asking anyone with information about the attackers to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
I give up on this generation. A person can’t even go and make a sandwich SMH…
